The role of Medical Biller / Coder focuses on accurate posting of insurance and patient payments in the US Healthcare domain. Candidates will work with Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), reconcile accounts, identify payment variances, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies. This position provides hands-on exposure to Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) processes and healthcare billing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately post payments received from insurance companies and patients
- Work on ERA and EOB to process transactions
- Identify contractual adjustments, denials, and underpayments
- Ensure accurate posting of payments, adjustments, and write-offs
- Reconcile daily payment transactions and resolve discrepancies
