Job Description:
Red Hat’s Customer Experience & Engagement (CEE) team is looking for Software Engineering Trainees to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team based in Pune, India.
A Red Hat Trainee codes, tests, and debugs features for internal Red Hat tools and software products using Python/Golang, working with mentors and cross-functional teams (QE, Engineering, Design) in an open-source culture, focusing on quality, automation, and learning new technologies. They’ll write tests, participate in code reviews, and help build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in an inclusive environment.

What will you do?
- Development: Implement features, fix bugs, and write clean, maintainable code
- Testing & Quality: Develop unit/integration tests, contribute to automation, and help ensure product quality
- Collaboration: Work with mentors, senior engineers, QE, Product, Documentation, and open-source communities
- Automation: Build and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines
- Platform Infrastructure – Kubernetes/OpenShift and/or Linux fundamentals (Storage, Networking, etc). Strong understanding in at least one of the above
- Learning: Learn new technologies (AI/ML, Containers, Cloud) and Red Hat’s open-source approach
What will you bring?
- Must have graduated within the last year (2025 batch) with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, in the computer science or IT or AI/ ML
- Knowledge in programming knowledge in Python, Golang (or similar), Javascript, JS Frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue
- Knowledge in MySQL (or Postgres), MongoDB
- Familiarity with Linux, containers, CI/CD is helpful
- Willing to work in open, collaborative, inclusive, focused on customer experience and innovation
- Familarity with Agile (Jira),Sonarqube, code reviews, debugging tools, logging & observability tools
- Red Hat Certifications like RHCSA, RHCE, OpenShift (DO180, DO280) will be considered plus
